The Norwegian American Foundation was established in 2001 with the vision of furthering cooperation between Norwegian American organizations and strengthening the ties between Norway and people throughout North America, who through ancestry and interest have a special relationship with Norway. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.
The Foundation also recognizes the contributions Norwegian Americans have made to the U.S., and presents modern Norwegian society and culture to an American audience.
Without the benefit of membership as a source of operating revenue, the operation of the Norwegian American Foundation is funded partly through donations and grants. Until its commercial income-producing activities are operational, the Foundation will continue to rely on donations and grants to underwrite its operations and development.
Individuals and businesses that understand the importance of the role Norwegian American organizations and institutions play in furthering the relationship between the two countries, and who have an interest in the welfare of the relationship between Norway and the United Stares, are invited to join the Ambassadors Circle. The Ambassadors Circle will be limited to 30 members.
With an annual contribution of $10,000 or more, you will provide necessary financial support for the goals of the Foundation and ensure new and ongoing efforts to cultivate and strengthen inter-relationships and exchange activities between Norway and the United States.
