|  Purpose
The purpose of the US-Norway forum is to nurture a dialogue between the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Norwegian Foreign Missions in the U.S., Norwegian-American organizations and Educational Institutions. The objective is to achieve the strongest possible cooperation and coordination in the common task of informing the American public about Norway and Norwegian culture. The ultimate aim of this common effort is to further strengthen and promote the ties between the two nations.
Ambassador's Award
Each year, the Ambassador of Norway to the United States may bestow the Ambassador's Award upon an individual who has distinguished him or herself in contributing to promote Norwegian culture or knowledge about the modern Norway. The Forum members are entitled to nominate candidates to the Ambassador by May 1.
Membership
New members may be proposed by any member of the Forum and admitted by simple majority. The chair may invite other participants on an ad hoc basis.
Meetings
The Forum convenes annually.
